Contact Pals please

I have emailed my pal but haven't heard back from her. And I haven't heard from my person who is knitting for me. Am I the only one?

Hiya, and no--I'm in the same position. I'm hoping the person I'm sending to was just offline for the weekend and that she'll catch up with e-mail soon, but I also left a note on her blog just to be safe. In the meantime, tomorrow is the only day this week I can go get the yarn, so I'm hoping she replies soon or I'll have to scramble to keep my schedule.

Should we contact with our pals? There is no secret then!

No, no, Signe--you do it anonymously. Do you have an anonymous e-mail (one that doesn't give your name)? You can create a free account with Hotmail, Yahoo, or Gmail. You just make the e-mail address anonymous so the person can't tell who you are from the e-mail address. For instance: knitterly AT yahoo or gmail, blue.skies AT . . . and so on. Do you see how that works? You just have to think of something that doesn't reflect your location or name in order to keep your pal from figuring out who you are. :-)

Does that help?

I know that we can do it anonymously. But the fact that we should do it was new for me. Maybe I miss something :).
I did participate in SP8 and it worked well and it was included to the rules :).
Maybe we should update the rules for this swap as well?
Something like - "you have to contact to your pal at least once during the swap project"

i assumed we should contact. its a small enough group we shouldn't have to change the rules just do it :) i mean there are 30 of us. we should be able to organise without someone holding our hands :)
